Those big ‘70s coupes had enough trouble with their doors sagging on the hinges after a few years and getting difficult to close. Can’t imagine what new problems Malaise Era Big Three build quality would introduce into that setup.

I’ve said a number of times that more cars shoul d have sliding doors . Mostly when I’m in city parking lots that keep getting repainted with a larger number of smaller spaces.
